Lauren Emerson is a multi-medium artist from Westchester, New York. With a degree in Music & Production Design and a background in technology. Her practice bridges disciplines like engineering light, materials, and sound into "reflective materials" to transform how we perceive space.

Raised as both musician and visual artist, she painted murals on her high school dugouts to avoid gym class and designed album covers for local bands. Now working as a freelance graphic designer and art director, leading marketing for several local arts collectives, she seldom has time to create her own artwork, late hours of the night have become her studio hours.

Her visual artwork spans ceramics, metal, mosaic, glass, resin, and digital technology, driven by a relentless pursuit of giving the present moment a shape. Her work is informed by the Light and Space movement's conviction that art is a physical event, shaped by her study of Buddhist ritual art and psychology in Tibet, where she learned how sacred art generates presence. Each piece is built slowly—mosaics tessera by tessera, sculptures prototyped and tested—solving for the moment when a static object pulses with autonomy. Her work asks viewers to inhabit and immerse physically feel rather than observe to understand.
