Luminaires
Light is the material. Everything else—the reclaimed wood, the salvaged metal, the ceramic forms, the mosaic glass—is in service of what the light will do. These pieces are built from objects that have been discarded or broken, transformed through construction into sources of illumination. They are functional in the way that a ritual object is functional: yes, they light a room, but that is almost incidental. What they really do is change the quality of the air around them. Each luminaire is an argument that beauty is not added to objects—it is revealed in them, given the right conditions, given light.
